“Riddick!” A shrill voice I hate all too well calls out. “Long Time, no see! Did you come to watch me perform? You know I’ve still got all my moves.” Mandy fucking Foster I’m going to be sick. And Riddick looks like he may be as well. That’s his fault. No one told him to use Mandy as his go-to fuck toy all throughout college. She’s always thought she had claim to him, even though he never made the slightest gesture to claim her. Now, she’s all over him like a cat with claws. He clears his throat and seeks me out with his eyes. “Umm… no, I’m actually here to support Brandi.” He nods his head towards me, forcing Mandy to turn around. I give her a saccharine smile and wave. She rolls her eyes but quickly recovers. “Oh yeah, I forgot she’s like a little sister to you. Of course, you’d want to see her perform. But isn’t it a bonus that you also get me out of the deal? Someone who knows how to use her body very well.” Bitch. Two can play this game. I walk over to Kruger and step beside him. Placing my hand in his, I squeeze and throw him a quick wink before bringing his ring hand to my lips and brushing my lips over the back of his knuckles. Sweet baby Jesus, his skin is incredible. I feel his calluses on the inside of my hand, but the skin brushing my lips is soft as silk. My poor neglected pussy is dripping from his sexy scent alone. Lord, I want to huff him like fiend addicted to glue. I close my eyes and take a deep breath before I hear him clear his throat, soft enough for my ears. That’s right, I had a reason to come over here, and getting high off the smell of his skin was not it. I glance at him and peep the right side of his mouth turned up in the beginning of a smile. I look away and glare at Mandy. “We are not siblings. Far from it, Mandy, what we are goes deeper than that. Wouldn’t you agree, Riddick?” My eyes never leave her scowl. Her eyes never leave my hand wrapped in his. She looks like she might combust, she’s so angry. Riddick faces me and his jaw flinches. His eyes are predatory, and I get the distinct feeling that I finally opened a door he was seeking entrance into. “I definitely agree,” he rumbles. “We’re the best part of each other.” His words almost knock me to my ass. What the hell is that supposed to mean? He returns my earlier gesture by flipping our clasped hands over and dropping kisses on the inside of my wrist. My knees buckle at the gesture and my breath catches. He chuckles and pulls me away from Mandy, winking as we turn to leave. “We’ll see you around, Mandy. Break a leg.” When we get out of her view, I drop Riddick’s hand and laugh. The sound is nervous and unnatural, but I follow through with it, anyway. Anything to break this awkward tension between us. But when I look up at Riddick’s face, he doesn’t look uncomfortable at all. He looks determined. I place my hand on my neck and swallow. “Mandy is still hot for you. She never could keep her hands off you.” Riddick nods. “Yeah, she never could.’ He steps closer to me, and I step back. Still, he stalks me until my back is against a wall and I realize we’re practically alone on the side of the stage. He trails the back of his knuckles across my cheek and smirks. “But you know, Kitten, I’m curious about your touch, not hers. Do you want me to touch you again?” “Wh..wh..at.” I stammer. He nods. “Umm hmm. Unfortunately, Mandy has had the undeserved privilege of touching my body all over. I wasn’t very discerning in the past. She’s had her legs wrapped around my thighs, lips around my cock, her hands grabbing my ass as I thrust into her. But none of those touches set my entire body and soul on fire, like the brush of your lips against my hand a few moments ago.” Oh, God… his mouth. It’s so dirty. Every word is going straight to my core. Riddick steps into me, and I gulp at his closeness. Part of me is terrified of being pushed against a wall by such a powerful man. If he wanted to, he could trap me there with his weight. It reminds me of the first time Byron took my innocence. The pressure of his body made me feel trapped in a situation I could not control. With Riddick, I just feel deliciously covered.

A minha opinião: Já há vários anos que é só Noelle e o pai, mas, agora que ele voltou a casar, ela vê-se sozinha na época natalícia, já que o pai está de lua de mel com a sua nova mulher. O filho desta, Sawyer, convida-a para ir passar o Natal e o Ano Novo com ele no chalé de montanha do seu pai, Colton. E ela aceita.
Apesar dele ser mais velho que ela, Noelle não pode deixar de se sentir atraída pelo seu "irmão". E ele sente o mesmo. Mas, quando chegam à cabana, e ela conhece Colton, também se sente muito atraída por ele...
Quando Colton vê Noelle, sente coisas que não sentia há anos. Que, possivelmente, nunca sentiu. Mas também sabe que ela nunca se interessaria por um velho como ele e, para além disso, consegue perceber que Sawyer está interessado nela. Por isso decide afastar-se, mesmo quando ela simpaticamente insiste para que ele lhes faça companhia, e deixar o caminho livre para o filho.
Contudo, Noelle depressa percebe que não consegue escolher apenas um e, a acontecer alguma coisa, terá de ser com os dois...
Não é fácil fazer uma história como esta resultar, mas a autora consegue fazê-lo. Noelle está determinada desde o início a que os três aproveitem o tempo que estão a passar juntos da melhor maneira. E Colton depressa acede a cumprir o seu desejo. Já Sawyer tem maior dificuldade em lidar com a situação, não só por se tratar do seu pai, mas também porque a relação entre ambos não é a melhor. Mas há diálogo entre os personagens, as coisas são faladas e resolvidas e eles lá acabam por conseguir fazer com que a relação resulte. Gostei bastante.

A minha opinião: Na noite do baile da sua irmã mais nova, Tessa Penrose, uma mulher inteligente e instruída, escapa-se para o seu estúdio no andar superior. Enquanto lá está, Jasper Hargreaves, o Conde de Arlington, também se escapa da festa acompanhado de uma viúva.
Tessa fica atordoada ao início, depois começa a ouvir gemidos, e acaba por espreitar o que se está a passar. E nunca poderia imaginar algo assim. Se revelar a sua presença agora, ambos saberão que esteve a espreitá-los, por isso tem de esperar que saiam. Mas Jasper não sai, adormece sentado no cadeirão. Que está ao pé dos seus sapatos... E ao tentar recuperá-los, acaba por o acordar.
Jasper acorda para a visão de uma bela jovem e não consegue resistir a seduzi-la. Mas quando ela ameaça contar ao irmão o que se passou se ele não a deixar ir, ele decide que tem de fazer algo para a impedir. E beija-a. E é assim que são descobertos.
Tessa está comprometida e não há outra hipótese, tem de casar com Jasper. Mas se ela não está propriamente entusiasmada com essa perspectiva, Jasper está inesperadamente excitado com o casamento iminente.
Contudo ambos têm um segredo que escondem do outro, segredos que, se revelados, os poderão aproximar ainda mais. Mas poderá uma relação que começou como a deles, forçada, ter realmente futuro?
Gostei bastante deste conto, principalmente pelo facto de que ambos os protagonistas não serem perfeitos.

A minha opinião: Vance vendeu a sua empresa e está agora à procura de uma casa onde possa aproveitar a vida. Quando vê Isabella a usar a piscina da casa que está a visitar, sabe que encontrou a casa para si. E também a mulher para si.
Ela habituou-se a saltar a cerca e a usar a piscina desde que os vizinhos se mudaram e colocaram a casa à venda. Mas agora a casa tem um novo dono e ela tem um novo vizinho. Que parece muito interessado nela. E ela não consegue manter-se afastada.
Parece-me que na altura em que o ouvi estava saturada de machos alfa e amor instantâneo, pelo que não gostei particularmente desta história. Ainda por cima é bastante breve e toda a acção da história acontece demasiado depressa para mim.

Quando o mau tempo a força a parar e a procurar abrigo no único local disponível, o mais infame bordel da Cantuária, ela não pode deixar de pensar no que Pavel e Aleks dirão quando descobrirem...
Ela é apaixonada por Aleks, mas ele odeia-a. Por isso, quando ele aparece no bordel para a acompanhar na viagem, ela fica extremamente confusa.
A verdade é que ele não a odeia, nem um bocadinho. Será este um milagre de Natal?
Gostei deste conto, mas tenho pena que a história não esteja mais desenvolvida.

A minha opinião: Este é um pequeno conto que a autora escreveu para oferecer aos seus leitores pelo Natal. E também acho que é o meu primeiro romance com monstros. Mas não será o último!
Não estou familiarizada com a mitologia do Krampus, mas, aparentemente, é um monstro que chega no Natal para castigar quem fez o mal.
Imogen matou alguém e, quando ouve passos no telhado, sabe o que a espera. E sabe que não tem como escapar ao castigo. Mas, ao contrário do que pensava, o Krampus não pretende matá-la, mas sim castigá-la doutra forma. Uma forma inesperadamente agradável...
Mais uma vez se prova que Katee Robert pode escrever sobre qualquer tema que eu vou ler. E gostar. Só tive pena que não fosse maior. E espero que a autora escreva uma continuação.

This novella is chocked full of insta-love goodness, safe and sexy, with a grumpy, over-the-top alpha who meets the one woman that will bring him to his knees. But that’s okay, Jax does some of his best work on his knees. As always with a Tory Baker book, you have a guaranteed happily ever after headed your way. Enjoy!
A minha opinião: Sloane tem 19 anos e trabalha na surf shop do amigo de Jax. Ela é louca por ele desde a primeira vez que o viu, mas, infelizmente, ele não parece estar interessado. A verdade é que Jax está mesmo muito interessado, mas tem 33 anos e muito mais experiência que Sloane. Ele não a quer privar de viver a vida, mas ela sabe perfeitamente o que quer da vida e é ele.
Não foi dos meus preferidos do Read Me Romance... Não só é demasiado curto, o que faz com que não haja realmente desenvolvimento dos personagens, também não gostei que, apesar de ter duplo ponto de vista, tivesse sido narrado apenas por um narrador masculino. Quer me parecer que há mais conteúdo no ebook e, se o ler, talvez goste mais.

A minha opinião: Andrew Blackshear é o irmão mais velho da família, e é também a figura paternal dos irmãos depois da morte da mãe e do cada vez maior isolamento do pai. Agora que a sua irmã vai casar, ele sabe que este será o último Natal que vão passar todos juntos, por isso está determinado em torná-lo especial e memorável. Por algum motivo, acha que a melhor forma de o fazer é comprar um falcão para oferecer à irmã...
E é por isso que se encontra no meio do campo, a conduzir a carruagem à chuva, enquanto procura a propriedade de um famoso falcoeiro. E encontra uma jovem mulher a caminhar sozinha à beira da estrada. Embora saiba que não é próprio dirigir-se a uma mulher que não conhece, não consegue deixar de parar e oferecer-lhe ajuda. Que ela recusa. Com um dupla sensação de alívio e de dever cumprido, continua a viagem. Mas qual não é o seu espanto quando, depois de chegar finalmente ao seu destino, descobre que a jovem é a filha do falcoeiro.
Lucy Sharp teve uma educação não convencional. Educada pelo pai, está habituada a discutir todos os assuntos, desde filosofia a religião, e a dar a sua opinião sem esperar que a mesma seja solicitada. Andrew nunca conheceu ninguém como ela e, depois de perceber que não lhe vão vender o falcão, mal pode esperar por sair dali e regressar a casa. Porém, sem saber muito bem como, concorda em dar boleia a Lucy, que foi convidada para uma festa em casa da tia.
Lucy está entusiasmada com a festa, não só porque vai poder participar numa actividade social, algo que nunca tem oportunidade de fazer, mas também porque tem esperança de conhecer um homem com quem casar. Ela adora o pai, mas sonha em ter a sua própria família, e esta pode ser a sua única hipótese.
Mas, pelo caminho, uma roda partida fá-los terem de pedir abrigo numa casa. E, a bem da propriedade, fingem ser casados. Só que isso torna normal a oferta do único quarto disponível na casa para que passem a noite...
Gostei desta novela. O Andrew faz lembrar o Mr. Darcy, sempre preocupado com as normas da sociedade, mas ao mesmo tempo, tão preocupado com as pessoas que ama. A Lucy parece um bocado cabeça de vento ao início, mas depressa se percebe que é apenas ingénua e, por não ter tido contacto com a sociedade, ignorante das regras da mesma. São perfeitos um para o outro, e espero que voltem a aparecer nos livros seguintes da série.
